Though yum is a command line utility there are other tools which provide a graphical user interface, we have included yumex on in the VM for your use. Yum supports multiple repositories of packages; on the toolkit VM we have included the standard CentOS base as well as the excellent rpmforge package repository. To explore all of the installed and available packages you may select Software Updater from the menu or type sudo yumex from any normal terminal or shell.
